Gregory B. McClary, CFSP, a native of South Carolina, brings over 35 years of experience in the funeral profession. He is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the states of Michigan, South Carolina, New York, and Indiana. Gregory is a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, Georgia, and holds Associate degrees in both Biblical Studies and Business Administration.
As owner and president of McClary Funeral Services, Inc., Gregory is an active member of the National Funeral Directors Association. His leadership roles include serving as President of District One of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association (2008-2009, 2012-2013), Vice-President of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association (2023-2024), and currently as President of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association (2024-2025). He has been a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) since 2005 and is an Ambassador of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice.
Beyond his funeral service expertise, Gregory has established himself as a trusted business consultant, helping entrepreneurs launch and scale successful ventures in various industries. His consulting practice draws on decades of experience building his own successful business from the ground up. Gregory specializes in guiding new business owners through the critical startup phase, implementing sustainable growth strategies, and optimizing operational efficiency. His clients particularly value his insights on customer service excellence, staff development, and creating systems that allow businesses to thrive even in challenging economic environments.
Gregory serves on the Board of Directors of the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association, and is a member of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association and the John Maxwell Team. As an Insight Certified Celebrant, he brings additional expertise to ceremonial services. His advisory positions include the Tribute to Technology Advisory Board (2023-2024) and the Advisory Board for The International Order of the Golden Rule. Gregory is also a Certified Etiquette Consultant.
